I used something similar to the iFixit jimmy. Just go around it until a spot will give in and allow you to insert the tool – that’s what I did.

I have the first gen version and I want to open it up to clean the fan (it has gotten noisy) but I can’t get a spudger in there to save my life. The tolerances on this projector are pretty amazing.
